Private practitioners play a vital role in offering personalised support outside of school or organisational settings. They work independently, providing services such as career planning, educational guidance, and social/personal development counselling to clients of all ages. Because they operate privately, these practitioners can tailor their approaches, offer flexible scheduling, and create specialised programmes that meet the unique needs of individuals seeking clarity, direction, or emotional support in their personal or professional lives.
Each year, the Practitioners listed here must complete at least ten hours of CPD, maintain appropriate professional insurance, and confirm full compliance with the IGC code of ethics. This yearly review safeguards the quality, accountability, and ethical integrity of guidance counselling services across private practice.
